LIBERATION – Premiere and talk

Inspired by true events in Black British history, LIBERATION is a powerful new play from writer and PRG member, Zodwa Nyoni, and director Monique Touko. Tracing the private lives of the people who fought to liberate Africa, it explores why their story remains relevant in 2025. The play premiered on 31 June and runs until 27 July. Zodwa Nyoni will be taking part in our Bunker Talks series on Tuesday 15 July 5pm-6.30pm to talk about the project in our Grosvenor East building – the site of the original Pan-African Congress that inspired the play.

Zodwa has shared the raging 4 and 5 star reviews that the play has already garnered on her own instagram and the PRG instagram.
