Michael visits Central Academy of Drama in China

PRG member and Professor of Performance Michael Pinchbeck presented at Beijing’s Central Academy of Drama, speaking about Matchstalks Remastered, created with Kevin Egan and Manchester School of Theatre’s Drama and Contemporary Performance programme.

Students responded to the work through themes of arrival, departure and the landscapes and people of L. S.
Lowry’s paintings, while Michael and Manchester Met Head of International for Arts and Humanities Dr Rachelle Viader Knowles toured the campus, where they discovered a sculpture of Shakespeare by Manchester School of Art alumnus Anthony Stones.
