Jeremie Cyr-Cooke: Research Slam finalist

Last week, PRG member Jeremie Cyr-Cooke took part as a finalist in the Research Slam contest in the Manchester Poetry Library at Man Met.

The Research Slam is a fast-paced event which challenges contestants to present their research in front of a live audience in just five minutes. The topics can be serious or fun, but one important rule is that presentation slides are strictly forbidden. There’s not a single dull PowerPoint deck in sight. Instead, the contestants were given free rein to be as creative, quirky and memorable as they wished.

Jeremie presented an exert from his recent show “Olympus Has but Snow: A Reimagination of Gym Culture and Contemporary Masculinities through the Lens of Greek Mythology.”
