King Lear at Royal Exchange

Sofia Jones SFHEA, Senior Lecturer in Acting and Voice Specialist, has begun work as Voice, Dialect and Shakespeare Consultant for King Lear at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester. She is supporting the company throughout rehearsals this autumn, contributing specialist expertise in voice, dialect and text.

Alongside this creative work, Sofia will present her research on cultural heritage, voice practice and equity at the Cultural Heritage Management and Conservation Conference (CHC) in Nottingham on 10–11 September. Her presentation explores inclusive methodologies within voice training and the intersections between heritage, identity and performance practice.
